Very nice and well thought out, as usual. I certainly agree that one must explore the internal to better manage the external. But I wish to make a point about the external, too. Can one use the external to help move forward on the intermal? On the practical side, you talked about your time in Brooklyn, and your frustrations with the couch, the AC, the job. Well, why bottle it up (except, I'm sure, for sharing with Lauren)? We are internal, but we are also a community and we should work together as a community. Might there be a carpenter for the sectional, an AC "guy" for that, someone to confide in to make the job at least more tolerable? Yes, it's important to explore internally on what one's strengths and weaknesses are and applied to one's situation. But it's also important to know you live in a community and may have access to people who can help. Unfortunately, in this parsha, we see Joseph acting and dealing with people alone. Too bad there was not a Ms. Joseph or a Robin to go with his Batman. My 2 cents. Thank you. Keep up the great writings and Shabbat Shalom and Chag Sameach!
